the mindfull universe

where is the focal point?
at what point do your eyes know
what's in the distance
what's too close to see

wound like a curl of smoke
the body feels itself
tendrils creeping down every finger
every nerve breaths
to feel its own life

where is the mind now?
are your owns thoughts so loud
your ears go deaf?
constantly in thought

where is serenity
peace of mind is only the obtainment of desires
absence of mind is the only true peace
have you ever seen it?

to escape your mind
is an out of body experience
to escape your world
leaves you forever trapped in the universe

have you ever felt space?
how does one feel something that isn't anything?
if the universe is alive
it must feel the weight of its own mortality

and when it collapses
it does not die
but condenses into a pinpoint of matter so small
that all of life could pass you by
like a fleck of dust drifting past your window
